Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Lumere Energy Limited (Lumere) handles personal information for the Beacon Investment Screening platform, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
1. What we collect
Lumere collects a limited set of personal information: your name and email address, your organisation, billing contact details, any purchase order you supply, and a record of your purchases, access and support requests. We also keep technical access logs (such as sign-in and IP records) for security.
2. What we do not hold
Card and bank-account details are collected and stored by our payment provider, Stripe, on Stripe-hosted pages. Lumere does not see or store full card or bank-account numbers. Where you sign in through an identity provider, that provider holds your credentials, not Lumere.
3. Why we collect it
To create and administer accounts, deliver Outputs, process billing and renewals, provide support, maintain security, and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Who we share it with
Lumere uses third-party processors to run the service, including Stripe (payments and invoicing) and Lumere's hosting and email providers. These processors handle personal information on Lumere's instructions. Lumere does not sell personal information.
5. Storage and overseas disclosure
Some processors, including Stripe, may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, Lumere takes reasonable steps consistent with Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.
6. Retention
Lumere keeps personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes, then deletes or de-identifies it.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information Lumere holds about you by emailing ryan@lumere.co.nz. You may also raise a concern with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
